1- ASSEMBLE THE STRUCTURE

Using the wood glue and 2 in wood screws, assemble the pine pieces together:

  • Lay flat a piece of 1 in x 3 in x 15 in and, on each side, place a piece of 1 in x 4 in x 30 in vertically. Leaving a 3 in space above the centre board, attach the centre board at the bottom of the two pieces installed vertically.
  • Repeat this process with a second piece of 1 in x 3 in x 15 in, at the bottom of the structure, placing it at 3 in from the bottom edge.
  • Place the last 1 in x 3 in x 15 in piece flat at the centre of the structure and fix it to the two 1 in x 4 in x 30 in pieces.

2- HIDE THE HOLES

  • On each side of the structure, fill the holes created by the screws using the wood filler. Sand or grind to obtain a smooth finish.

3- TAINT THE STRUCTURE

  • Using a cloth or paint brush, apply taint on the wood structure following the manufacturer’s instructions to have a nice finish. Let dry. Apply varnish if required.

4- FIX THE HOOKS AND HANG ON THE WALL

  • Using tape measure and a pencil, screw two hooks on each of the three rows (for a total of six hooks) with the 3/4 in wood screws. On each row, leave enough space between the hooks to allow room for two mugs. Hang your project on the wall and decorate it with your prettiest cups!
