Terms and conditions of use for Canac gift cards

Terms and conditions

  • The gift card has no expiration date.
  • To pay for your purchase with the gift card, present it at any Canac store. It cannot be used for online orders.
  • The gift card can be used multiple times until its balance is zero.
  • The gift card cannot be used in any way to pay the balance of a Canac customer account, for delivery, or to purchase other gift cards.

Purchasing a gift card

  • The gift card has no monetary value before it is purchased and activated.
  • The market value of the gift card is in Canadian dollars.
  • The gift card can be activated with an amount between $10 and $1,000.
  • The gift card is sold in all Canac stores.  It is not possible to purchase a gift card from a customer account or in electronic format. 

Refunds or exchange

  • The gift card will not be replaced or refunded if lost or stolen.
  • The gift card and its balance are non-refundable and non-redeemable for cash.
  • When merchandise paid for with a gift card is returned, the refund for the merchandise will be issued in the form of a new gift card, even if there is a balance remaining on the gift card used for the purchase.
  • If two payment methods were used to pay for the gift card, the amount refunded to the gift card cannot exceed the original amount of the gift card.  The remainder of the refund must be made using the other payment method used.
