Often called «fish wire» fish tape is extremely practical for running electrical wiring through restrained or hard-to-reach areas (ex.: installing new electrical cables in already closed walls). After having placed the fish tape in the intended conduit, a new cable is placed at the end of the tape and pulled through to exit opening.
